Laureate Writers Series – July 2016

Attention all lovers of Historical Fiction, Shakespeare, and fine food!

The Laureate Writers Series will be holding a special free writer’s event, Wed. July 13th at 7:30, featuring acclaimed historical novelist Mary Sharratt, who will read and speak about her latest novel The Dark Lady’s Mask: A Novel of Shakespeare’s Muse.

A wonderful themed dinner (reservations must be made prior) served by the Blue Heron is available directly before the event starting at 6pm, with the 5 course menu posted below ($40 per person).

The price for the dinner is $40.00 and includes tax and gratuity. Beer and wine will be available to purchase. Reservations are required and can be made by calling or in person at the Blue Heron Coffeehouse. Seating is limited to 40.

Kickshaw: Tartes of Proines (Dried Plums with wine and ginger zest) on crostini

Pottage: Chilled Orange-Almond Broth

Sallet: Seasonal Greens with Sherried Pears

Meate and Vegetives: Simmered Beef "Hodgepodge" with Wine-Parsley sauce OR Simmered Summer Vegetable "hodgepodge" with Wine-Parsley Sauce; Both Entree’s served with seasonal vegetable

The Banquet: Berry fool, other TBD
