Kalliope String Duo at Café Congo

The Kalliope String Duo, the dynamic musical collaboration of violinist Kathleen Lamb and cellist Veronica Hudacek will perform a free concert on Monday, January 30th at 7pm at Café Congo (First Congregational Church, 161 W. Broadway).

Their acclaimed program, The Voices of Europe: An exploration of chamber music from Baroque to the 20th Century, shares the musicians’ enthusiasm and passion for chamber music.  Both accomplished performers and educators, they will present a varied musical program, including works by Bach and Ravel. It’s a program that is both accessible and riveting and will appeal to people of all ages. Kathleen and Veronica perform with the Rochester Symphony where Ms. Lamb holds the Hayward J. & Carolyn Beck chair as a first violinist and Ms. Hudacek is the newly appointed principal cellist. Winner of a SEMAC Emerging Artist Grant, this will be a performance your whole family will enjoy and long remember. Refreshments will be served.  A free will offering will be taken.
