Winona Area Quilters Guild Reception

Monday | October 9 | 5pm
Page Theatre | Ben Miller Lobby

The Winona Area Quilters Guild has created an exhibit of original quilted pieces inspired by the 2017-2018 Page Series at Saint Mary’s University. The exhibit is now on view in the Performance Center’s Ben Miller Lobby.

Members of the Winona Area Quilter’s Guild 4th Monday Friendship Circle are dedicated to stretching themselves in the quilting world. Their goal with projects over the past few years has been to work in a smaller more achievable scale—12”x12” art quilts. Every other month, the group has used a word for inspiration and returned to the group with an individual representation of what that word elicited. The group has met and completed quilting projects for more than 15 years, and their members range in quilting experience from two to 35 years.

The guild welcomes all skill levels and strives to try new techniques. The exhibit can be viewed daily at the Performance Center through Nov. 6. For more information, visit pagetheatre.org or call 507-457-1715. Guild members who worked on the display quilts for the Page Series are Sheila Allard, Connie Dretske, Jeanette Indra, Sue Mundahl, Mary Nelson, Kathy Seifert, and Marianne Texley.

The Performance Center at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota is a member of the River Arts Alliance. To learn more about the benefits of membership, please visit riverartsalliance.org/JOIN.
