Fadi BouKaram discusses the 1955 trip of seven mayors from American Lebanons to Beirut to commemorate the centennial of the first wave of Lebanese immigration to the United States. Only six returned. Was the trip really an unsanctioned spy operation?

This event is presented in partnership with the Winona County Historical Society, and is part of The Cedar Tree Project, a season-long exploration of cultural heritage, perceptions and identity through the lens of Arab and Arab American artists presented by the Page Series and curated by Sharon Mansur. Additional events and details are available at pagetheatre.org.
