Winona dance/visual artist Sharon Mansur will lead a workshop exploring the basics of dance filmmaking. Dance films are short, experimental creative art films featuring movement. The integration of movement, location and the camera eye is integral to dance filmmaking and provides richly imagistic, kinetic and emotional experiences. People interested in an opportunity to learn about this exciting art medium and play with some basic tools and skills are encouraged to attend. No dance or film experience necessary. And no specialized camera equipment required, just come with your cell phone camera and your imagination!

“…in the space between” is a new Winona based site-specific dance film by Sharon Mansur, embodying the intimate spaces of in-betweenness. The project and also includes dance film workshops and in progress screenings this fall.

The “…in the space between” dance film will make its full premiere at Outpost Winona, 119 E. 3rd Street, November 9-10, 2018 @ 7pm.
