MCA Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party

The Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts (MCA) is pleased to announce the tenth biennial Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party. This year’s Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party will feature two tea sittings (1pm and 4pm).

Tea party guests will enjoy sipping tea, nibbling on delectable treats, meeting and posing for photos with their favorite character(s) from The Nutcracker ballet all while the sweet sounds and sights of live music surround them. Guests will be enchanted by a dazzling dance demonstration by this year’s Sugar Plum Fairy. Additionally, the Land of the Sweets Gift Boutique featuring holiday gifts and crafts is available to the public from 12:30 to 5:30pm.

Tickets are $15 for children and $20 for adults. Individual seat reservations or a full table of six reservation can be made online. Patrons will have the option to pay by check or online after the reservation is made.

The Sugar Plum Fairy Tea party is the first big event of “The Nutcracker” production season for MCA and its performing group, the Dance Repertory Company. The company will present the full-length ballet Nov. 28 – Dec. 2 at Saint Mary’s University’s Page Theatre. This year’s cast totals more than 100 members, including students from Saint Mary’s, Winona State University, and children and community members from the Winona area.
