Identify Yourself is an exploration of cultural heritage and personal identity led by Winona-based artist Sharon Mansur. Drawing from Mansur’s autobiographical performance work Dreaming Under a Cedar Tree, this free, interactive workshop invites you to explore childhood memories and imagery, ancestral countries of origin, and personal identity through creative writing, visual art, and movement.

No previous experience is necessary to participate, but registration is required as space is limited. To register, visit pagetheatre.org.

This event is part of The Cedar Tree Project. Throughout the 2018-2019 season, the Cedar Tree Project explores identity through the lens of Arab and Arab American artists. Curated by Winona dance/visual artist Sharon Mansur, events will include performances and exhibitions as well as workshops and community gatherings with visiting artists.

The Cedar Tree Project is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

Sharon Mansur and the Performance Center at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota are members of the River Arts Alliance. To learn more about the benefits of membership, please visit: riverartsalliance.org/JOIN.
