The Department of Theatre & Dance (THAD) at Winona State University (WSU) will present Spamalot –  the award-winning musical with book and lyrics by Eric Idle at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, through Saturday, Oct. 23, in the Vivian Fusillo Mainstage Theatre at the Performing Arts Center.

Spamalot, a musical comedy based on the film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” playfully reimagines the legend of King Arthur and follows Arthur, his servant Patsy and his Knights of the Round Table as they search for the Holy Grail. On their quest, the knights encounter many eccentric characters including the dangerous Black Knight, the intimate Lady of the Lake and the mysterious Tim the Enchanter.  The comedy spoof is brimming with memorable show tunes and energetic dance numbers.

Spamalot is directed by Heather Williams-Williams. This production serves as an acting capstone for THAD students Marley Benedum (Ensemble) and Adam Calcagno (Sir Lancelot). Rebekah Bailey will complete her capstone as the stage manager for the production.

Tickers are $15 for public and $8 for students with an I.D. Tickets are available at www.WSUArtsTickets.com or by calling the Box Office at 507-457-5235.
