Another Sonnet Contest Season will come to a close when we gather to hear this year’s winning sonnets read by members of the Great River Shakespeare Festival company. Coffee and snacks will be offered at 10:30am, along with music by Flutistry. The event is free and open to the public.

The judges were faced with difficult choices this year, as they assessed 474 sonnets written by 242 entrants. This year the international competition received entries from as far away as Abu Dhabi and Bangkok! Following the ceremony, winning sonnets will be published on the website: sonnetcontest.org.

The Great River Shakespeare Festival and Ted Haaland, Contest Director, are members of the River Arts Alliance. To learn more about the benefits of membership, visit riverartsalliance.org/JOIN.
