SMU Music Theater Students sing Broadway Hits to Benefit HCO

Sunday | April 29 | 6:00pm
Cafe Congo | 161 W Broadway
First Congregational Church

Saint Mary’s University music theater students and their director Judy Myers will perform a program of Rodgers & Hammerstein and Leonard Bernstein’s greatest Broadway hits on Sunday, April 29th at Café Congo. The event will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Bernstein’s birth and the start of rehearsals for HCO’s 2018 musical production, The Little Mermaid. Admission is by freewill donation.

Now in it’s third year, Café Congo is First Congregational Church’s welcoming performance space for student musicians ‘playing it forward’ for a good cause. The SMU students’ good cause is helping Home & Community Options and their mission of providing support and residential services to people with developmental disabilities. And as in previous SMU performances, the students will lead the audience in a sing-along of some of your favorite Broadway show tunes! So don’t miss this very special musical event and an opportunity to support this very special local organization. Refreshments served.
