Free Family Concert Series performance

Winona’s flute ensemble Flutistry will perform for the second performance of the Free Family Concert Series, made possible through the Main Street Program and Third Space grant initiative. Families are encouraged to join in the music-making playing a variety of percussion instruments, plan to join in the fun! This event is funded by the Bush Foundation/Springboard for the Arts and the Elizabeth Calendar King Foundation. The performance will move indoors in case of inclement weather.

Flutistry was founded in 2011 and currently includes founding members Heidi Bryant, Arlene Boll and Janet Heukeshoven, joined by Lisa Ramsey and Amanda Wenzel. The ensemble covers the full range of the flute ensemble from bass flute through piccolo and performs a wide variety of repertoire from Baroque to jazz arrangements. Flutistry performs in collaboration with a variety of community organizations including the Winona Symphony, River Arts Alliance, Maria W. Faust Sonnet Contest, Minnesota Marine Art Museum, Café Congo, church services, assisted living facilities, and holiday performances.
