Xilam Bilam Ybarra is an interdisciplinary artist and one of six artists participating in the McKnight Ceramics Exhibition currently on view in the Watkins Gallery. Ybarra’s work in the exhibition includes several beautifully crafted contemporary Meso-american clay flutes, along with a mask that references Mexica and Maya glyphs. The artist’s Xicano identity is at the center of all his art forms.

Please join the Art and Design department to hear this artist speak about his work followed by a reception with light refreshments.
