At MerleFest in Wilkesboro, NC, they have an annual event called “Mando mania.” At mando mania, a group of five or six prominent mandolin players who are on the festival bill share a stage and play everything from traditional fiddle tunes to swing and jazz. This month we will have the first of the Winona version of mando mania. I will be joined by Wayne Beezley (The Bus Boys, String Ties) and Taylor Olson, two of the best mandolin players in the Winona area. Come and join us for an evening of mandolin music that you will not soon forget.

Every third Wednesday of the month I will be at Blooming Grounds for an Evening of Mandolin Music. I will try out some jazz chord solos, blues and ragtime songs, and maybe even some classical mandolin solos. Most evenings I will be playing solo, but some times I will bring friends to add a little pizzazz. ~Jim Reineke.
