SHIFT ~ a performance salon with poet Mai’a Williams and musician woolen lover. Curated by Sharon Mansur ~a cozy evening of poetry, music, lively conversation & tasty snacks. Cost: $8 suggested donation at the door, no reservations needed!

about Mai’a: Mai’a Williams is a poet, author, and visual and performance artist. Also a revolutionary.

about woolen lover: woolen lover is a local sound and movement artist who uses their loop pedal to layer voice, synthesizer, found sounds, and meaning. alongside music, they find belonging through dancing/movement and invite others to inhabit their bodies and join in the fun of creating. if we’re talking about meaning, if we’re making the world a better place for ALL people, woolen lover is IN.

about Sharon: Sharon loves dancing and making visual art, films and installations. And creating experiences where active viewing and imagination are welcome. Working and playing with others. And snacks. Experimenting. And finding ways to support and build the creative ecology within a community. mansurdance.com

SHIFT~ performance salons have been curated by Sharon Mansur since 2016, offering an experimental improvisational space for Winona artists to get acquainted, test out new ideas, and engage on open artistic conversation about contemporary art practices with the audience.
