July MMAM Second Saturday: Storytelling

Join the Minnesota Marine Art Museum for the July Second Saturday, featuring $1 admission and special themed activities based on July’s theme ‘Storytelling’!

Activities include special tours including MMAM highlights tours, which will introduce you to pieces form our permanent collection, and a ‘Beyond The Canvas’ tour led by MMAM staff members. There will be live music from Billy X and Heidi Geunther Ryan, family-friendly puppet shows from local puppeteer, Dr. Bob, as well as art-making activities including book-making and a collection storytelling art project where you will get to help tell the story of what is happening in some of your favorite artworks from the collections. MMAM is also pleased to host Great River Shakespeare Festival company members who will be putting on some silly storytelling performances.
