Modern Dance Master Class

This class will include an Afro-Cuban warm up and give students the opportunity to learn repertoire from a section of one of Ballet Hispánico’s pieces. Movement Workshop with Ballet Hispánico

This free movement workshop will explore Afro-Cuban and Latin social dance styles and culture. All ability levels are welcome. Modified movement, including participation from a chair, will be offered. To register, call 507-454-5212.



A Page in History: Ballet Hispánico

Learn about Ballet Hispánico and their work from the company’s artistic director and CEO, Eduardo Vilaro. Mr. Vilaro has infused Ballet Hispánico’s legacy with a bold and eclectic brand of contemporary dance that reflects America’s changing cultural landscape. Born in Cuba and raised in New York from the age of six, he is a frequent speaker on the merits of cultural diversity and dance education. Vilaro also founded Luna Negra Dance Theater, who performed at the Page Theatre as part of the 2011-12 Page Series.



Ballet Master Class

Latin Social Dancing with Ballet Hispánico

Thursday | October 3 | 7:00-9:00pm
Valencia Arts Center

Bring a friend and enjoy a fun night of Latin dance rhythms with Ballet Hispánico! The evening will start with a 50-minute lesson, including instruction in Salsa and Merengue, followed by a community dance for participants to try out their new skills. This event is open to participants of all ages and abilities. No experience necessary. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase.
