Sunday | November 17 | 2:30-5:30pm
Island City Brewing Company | 65 E Front St
Beginning November 17th, the monthly Island City Jazz Jam will move to its new winter hours – 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. As in the past, everyone is welcome to join the H3O Jazz Trio at Island City on the 3rd Sunday of every month in the taproom.
Now in its second year, the Island City Jazz Jam has welcomed talented performers ages 8 to 91 from Iowa, Wisconsin, various Minnesota cities, and even Arizona! Whether you play an instrument or sing, the Jazz Jam is a chance for everyone to sit in with a professional rhythm section. All are welcome and encouraged to perform some of their favorite jazz standards in this family-friendly open mic setting.
Interested jammers can choose from a wide selection of jazz tunes. Players can pick music from Hal Leonard Real Books, bring their own, or ask the trio to play their favorites! Simply sign up on the clipboard and get ready to have some fun!
An up-to-date schedule is always available at H3OJazz.com. The event is free and open to everyone – young and not so young. And if you’re not quite ready to sit in, come and enjoy a great evening of jazz. Please contact Emily Johnson: firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
