Tales from Wales and Newfoundland

Taff Roberts will share tales from Wales and Newfoundland along with guest Scott Lloyd who will talk about King Arthur’s place names in Wales. Admission is $7 for adults, $3 for students. Tea, coffee and Welsh cakes will be served. This event is sponsored by Wild Wales Tours & Walkabouts, St. David’s Society of Minnesota, and the Minnesota Welsh Association.

Taff Roberts is the Director of Wild Wales Tours & Walkabouts. He is a long time Winona resident. Scott Lloyd works for the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales at the National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth. He has served on the committee of the British Branch of the International Arthurian Society. In his recent book The Arthurian Place Names of Wales he traces associations back to their original sources for more than a hundred and fifty sites in Wales, dating from the 9th century. He lives near Aberystwyth in mid Wales.
