DESCRIPTION:Winona Arts Center | 228 E 5th St.\nwinonaarts.org \nThe Winona Arts Center is happy to announce the next artist exhibit entitled The River Connects Us by Peter Mutschler (a Winona\, MN based photographer and a River Arts Alliance member) and Tom Gillaspy (a Stillwater\, MN poet). The exhibit opening is on Sunday\, January 19\, from 1:00-4:00. The exhibit runs through March 2\, 2025. \nThe Mississippi River is the backbone of the United States. Its waters carry our grain\, our ore\, our history\, our dreams. Creations of music\, art\, and stories are deposited on the flood plains of Old Muddy. Pete’s images explore the unique and sometimes hidden culture that flows from this Great River\, from the headwaters in Northern Minnesota to the delta south of New Orleans. Tom’s poetry provides a sensitive and sometimes powerful reflection inspired by the images. Learn more.

DESCRIPTION:Two Fathoms Brewing | 65 E Front St.\nH3OJazz.com \nAs 2025 begins\, H3O Jazz Trio and Two Fathoms Brewing are teaming up to make this the best year of Jazz Jams yet! The January Jazz Jam takes place Sunday\, January 19 from 2:30 – 5:30 pm in the warmth of Two Fathoms Brewing Company’s cozy taproom. This month’s fundraiser recipient will be The Pantry at Minnesota State College Southeast. Patrons are encouraged to bring non-perishable donations to help build up supplies. The Pantry at Minnesota State College Southeast helps build a supportive campus community by providing supplemental food support to enrolled students in need. H3O Jazz Trio and Two Fathoms Brewing (formerly Island City) have helped support local nonprofits with over $56\,000 in total donations thanks to the generosity of Jazz Jam patrons! Last month’s Jazz Jam contributed $1\,755 to the Winona Immigration Network. In addition to H3O matching all donations\, Two Fathoms Brewing contributes 20% of their Jazz Jam Sunday profits!
