DESCRIPTION:August through December\, 2025 \nThe Winona Arts Center (228 E 5th Street) kicked off a Membership Drive at our annual meeting on August 20. The drive will go throughout the remainder of this year.  Please consider joining the WAC as a member as it helps us fund all of the movies\, concerts\, art classes\, and special events.  The membership has several benefits and we are offering a monthly drawing to new members for a free ticket to a concert or movie. \nYou may join by mailing a check to Winona Arts Center at 228 E 2nd St or by going online to winonaarts.org to pay with PayPal. \nOur membership rates as well as several categories for additional donations are on the website.  We are a 501C3 so all memberships and donations are tax deductible. \nWinona Arts Center is an organizational member of the River Arts Alliance. DESCRIPTION:Nov 19\, Dec 3 & Dec 10 |  5:30-7:30pm\nCost:  Workshop Fee (all 3 days)  $150\nContact:  jsbenson50@gmail.com \nJoin us for an Introduction to Linoleum Printing with Preston Lawing at the Winona Arts Center\, 228 E 5th Street.  This class meets for 3 Wednesdays; November 19\, December 3 & 10 from 5:30-7:30 pm.  The workshop fee for all 3 days is $150.00 \nThis three-week workshop with Preston Lawing will open the door to a simple\, amazing process of using linoleum to carve and print beautiful images. These prints require minimal tools and can be produced at home or while traveling\, helping you to get out of the studio and exploring your world. This workshop will introduce artists\, from beginners to advanced\, to the technique of carving into a soft linoleum block and developing a variety of lines and tones\, shadows and contrast\, as well as highlighting the students’ own unique artistic style.  Participants do not need to have strong drawing skills\, but a willingness to explore different marking choices. Due to the technical information and processes covered\, this course is suited for artists 18 and up. Players can win a variety of meats\, with many coming from local farmers and producers! \nDecember’s meat raffle will be run by Winona Creator’s Collective\, supporting their creation of a community makerspace. “We’re always excited to host events at Two Fathoms\, and really appreciate the multitude of ways Two Fathoms supports community initiatives like ours\,” said Mark Zocher\, President of Winona Creators Collective. \nFunds raised will go towards tools and construction costs for the community workshop\, which provides classes\, tools\, and mentoring for people creating new art and businesses for the region.
