SUMMARY:Sandbar Storytelling Circle - First Session
DESCRIPTION:The Sandbar Storytelling Festival is once again offering a storytelling circle in Winona. A story circle is a small group of individuals sitting in a circle\, sharing stories — usually from their own experience or imagination — focusing on a common theme. As each person in turn shares a story\, a richer and more complex story emerges. \nEach circle/class will run 90 minutes starting at 10 a.m. every other Saturday for eight sessions this spring and summer at various locations around Winona. Participants must be at least 15 years of age. The cost for all eight sessions is $80. Students will be given nine 4-inch earthenware clay tiles on a board. They will draw on each tile and then apply colored slips and clear glaze. Students can bring their own design or trace designs that are provided. Tiles will be fired at Spiller’s studio and returned at a later date. Cost is $30 for WAC members and $35 for non-members.
