She’ll also have dozens of unframed paintings of local interest available to purchase during the reception. Oil paintings featuring Trempealeau areas and from La Crosse to Winona. \nStop by The Station\, Saturday morning and enjoy a cup of coffee before a hike or treat yourself to some ice cream after you run errands while checking out the display. There will be live music. \nColleen’s collection of original paintings featuring Feathered Friends and More will be at The Station in Historic Downtown Trempealeau\, at 11369 Main Street until the end of September 2025. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, Aug 23 |4:00\nMinnesota Conservatory of the Arts\n1164 W Howard St.\n\nIn partnership with MCA\, join us for a Pick Up Truck Operetta On Saturday\, August 23 at 4:00.  The performance will take place outside at the Minnesota Conservatory of the Arts.  If inclement weather\, the performance will be moved indoors.\n\nMixed Precipitation celebrates 17 years of outdoor summer fun. This year\, we’re revisiting one of our favorite productions\, The Return of King Idomeneo. First created in 2012\, this adaptation of Mozart’s 1781 opera Idomeneo\, re di Creta (Idomeneo\, King of Crete)\, was a breakout production for Mixed Precipitation and exemplified our playful and passionate outdoor performance style.  \nRESERVATIONS OPEN JUNE 15th  \nAll performances are offered for a suggested donation ($5 – $45). DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, Aug 27 | 5:30-7:00pm\nWinona Art Center\n228 E 5th Street \nFREE and open to the public \nPreston Lawing Spotlight \nOn August 27th from 5:30-7:00  the Winona Art Center  (228 E 5th Street ) will begin hosting a series of free lectures on Art history and techniques. This first hour long lecture will profile Lithography\, a printmaking process that uses a smooth Bavarian Limestone block that has been drawn on with a grease pencil. \nThis series\, led by Preston Lawing\, Professor Emeritus of the Saint Mary’s University Art and Design department\, will cover the history and development of this print form\, and will include many samples of original prints\, actual stone blocks\, drawing tools and photos of presses and historic documents.
