Workshop: Hinged-Lid Box
Saturday, March 5 | 1–4:30 p.m.
Winona Arts Center | $35 + $10 supply fee
Learn how to make a decorative and functional box with a hinged lid for storing your treasures or giving as a gift.
Our boxes will be made of sturdy book board and covered in a combination of book cloth and decorative paper. A variety of papers and cloths will be available for you to choose from and combine.
Other handmade boxes will be on display so you can see how various boxes look when they’re done.
Become familiar with basic boxmaking techniques and tools. With the instructions from the workshop, you’ll be able to make additional boxes on your own. We will also discuss how to make boxes that are custom-fitted for books, magazines, photos, playing cards, jewelry, or anything else you might want to store and protect.
