WSO Arts Administration Position, Part-time

Job Description
This part-time arts administrator position includes event promotion and fundraising support such as managing social media presence, tracking finances, hanging flyers, attending monthly meetings, and managing advertising.
The Arts Administrator will work collaboratively and in close communication with the Music Director and the WSO Board.
Responsibilities
Work with promotion. Support fundraising and promotion by maintaining mail and email lists, sending out mailings, managing printing orders for programs and materials, and managing correspondence. Maintain Facebook page. Maintain some bookkeeping in collaboration with the WSO Board Treasurer. May include overseeing volunteers such as ushers for concerts. Attend monthly board meetings and orchestra events as needed.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
Independently motivated. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail. Ability to plan ahead, make deadlines and prioritize. Computer skills including ability to produce and edit digital content.
Preferred qualifications include a BA, experience in arts administration and/or work for a non-profit, grant-writing experience, some familiarity with data management, ability to work well with diverse populations and with all personality types and familiarity with orchestral music.
Working conditions: Flexible schedule. Much of the work can be performed from any location with a personal computer and internet access.
