Visible/Invisible: Life with Mental Illness
Joy Davis Ripley recently received a SEMAC grant for a community project and is looking for people who would like to participate. For the project, Joy will be tackling the stigma that mental illness still carries with it. She is looking for volunteers who would be willing to be interviewed about their mental illness and photographed in a setting that seems to fit what they experience. For example, a sample question Joy will ask is, "How does your mental illness make you feel?" and a sample setting could be in front of a favorite tree, favorite garden, or other meaningful place.
If you are interested in participating, please contact Joy at WinonaMentalHealthProject@hotmail.com. Each person who participates will receive a $20 stipend. Participation in this project with partial or full anonymity is possible.
