Laureate Writers Series Open Mic

“First Tuesday,” The Laureate Writers Series, will have an OPEN MIC on June 4. The theme for the Open Mic is CLIMATE CHANGE. We will not have a featured reader this month, but have one scheduled for July.

Show up and get your name on the list to read, recite, sing or play. This can be poetry, fiction, memoir, song or some combination thereof or an instrumental. The work can be yours or the work of someone else. Bring your instrument(s) along. The limit for each person is FIVE MINUTES. This includes your rambling introduction, so stick to the time limit, please, as a courtesy to the other readers/performers. Your work may be earth-shattering but the limit is five minutes, nonetheless. Stick to the theme if you can—if you can’t you may read something else. The event is co-sponsored by the Blue Heron and the City of Winona and is free and open to the public.
