August MMAM Second Saturday: Mighty Mississippi

Join the Minnesota Marine Art Museum for the August Second Saturday, featuring $1 admission and special themed activities based on August’s theme, ‘Mighty Mississippi’!

Our tours for the day include MMAM highlights tours, which will introduce you to pieces from our permanent collection, and a ‘Making Waves: Art Inspired By Water’ tour with MMAM Executive Director, Nicole Chamberlain-Dupree. There will also be live music in the galleries featuring the Bell House Band and the John Paulson Jazz Duo, and everyone’s favorite search-and-find game Bingo Overboard!, and new, exciting art and river-related activities for all ages.

Second Saturday visitors will also be able to get outside and explore the Mississippi River on the Winona Tour Boat. Three tour times will be available at 11:00 AM, Noon, and 1:00 PM.
