Learn the basics of how to take quality, digital photos of your paintings, pottery, or other works of art for use in online marketing. Mary Farrell is a Winona-based photographer and filmmaker. She will demonstrate how to successfully photograph your works, including lighting and other considerations. Heidi Bryant is a web developer, designer, and longtime manager of River Arts Alliance’s website. She will share tips on editing and preparing photos of your art for online use.
This fall, River Arts Alliance is presenting a series of workshops designed to help artists learn skills and tools for selling their artwork online. Topics include marketing on social media, online sales using Square, and photographing works of art; watch for more information about an additional upcoming workshop. These events are free and open to the public. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund.
