Workshop Options:

From Borders to Betweens and Beyond: Plein Air As Information and Inspiration, led by Fred Somers and Kami Mendlik (Host Studio: Minnesota Marine Art Museum, Oberton Education Room). Workshop fee: $500. See supply list here. Note: please bring the supplies listed from one of the two sections of this list, for either oil painting or pastels, depending on which medium you prefer to work in. It is not necessary to bring both. Workshop content will be applicable to both media.

Watercolor Journey, led by David R. Smith (Host Studio: Mississippi Mornings Art Studio). Workshop fee: $400. See supply list here.

Each workshop runs on Friday, September 29, and Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 9 am to 4 pm each day. Each workshop is limited to a maximum of 16 participants.

Policies: Full payment of the workshop fee is due with registration. No refunds will be issued to registered participants who cancel, with one exception: if the workshop is full and a replacement participant can be secured from our waiting list, you may be eligible for a refund less $100. You must contact River Arts Alliance to request this exemption -- contact Board Member Linda Klabo at linda@mississippimornings.com or call 507-459-8021, or Arts Administrator Johanna Rupprecht at admin@riverartsalliance.org.

If the workshop is cancelled in its entirety by River Arts Alliance, Minnesota Marine Art Museum, or the instructor(s), a full refund will be issued.

Detailed information about the workshop location, art supply list, meals, etc. will be sent to you after your registration is received.
