Get ready for another Street Dance!! Mark your calendars, because this one’s going to be HOT. Downtown Winona will be spinning and grooving to the sounds of live music and dancing at the much-anticipated fall dance “Salsa In The Street!”

On Friday, September 22 from 6-10 pm, the community is invited to a free dance party thrown by River City Ballroom Dancers/Breitlow Ballroom. Angel Chavez will teach a beginning Salsa lesson from 6-7 pm and Salsa del Soul will provide LIVE Latin music from 7-9 pm. Then, DJ T1 with GGG Entertainment will play Latin Dance music from 9pm-10 pm.

Salsa del Soul is a Twin Cities-based, nine-piece orchestra that performs various styles of dance music from the Spanish-speaking regions of the Caribbean. They represent some of the finest talents in the Twin Cities Latin music scene with styles including Son, Son Montuno, Plena, Cha-cha-cha, Bachata, Merengue, Timba, and, of course, Salsa!

The event will be on Third Street at the corner of Center Street (in front of Blooming Grounds) and is part of the Winona Main Street and Chamber of Commerce’s Winona in the Street (formerly Dine Out Downtown) series.
