If you’re looking for a wholesome, uplifting, energetic slice of live family entertainment for all ages, here’s your opportunity: Sleeping Beauty vs the Not so Evil Fairy presented by Sugarloaf Theatre. Mark your calendars now. The show will be performed for the community on March 16 at 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm and March 17 at 2:00 pm. All the performances will be held at Bluffview Montessori School and will be followed up with a talk back with the cast and production team. Tickets are only $10 per person for this exciting experience, and can be purchased in advance online or at the door.
The cast and crew have been working hard during rehearsals of this upbeat and humous parody of Sleeping Beauty directed by Seamus Schwaba. Assisting Schwaba are Stage Manager Jocelynn Olcott, Costume Designer Sontha Reine, and Costume Assistant Rachel Spartz. The dynamic cast includes David Danbach, Kinsley, Beth Pekar, Karissa Sanders, Mary Stoltman, Ash Wicka, and Mariah Williams.
In its second season, Sugarloaf Theatre’s mission is to create positive theatre environments for all ages in the Winona community while educating the public about theatre through accessible shows, classes, and workshops, where everyone involved is treated with kindness and support.
