2024 McKnight International Choreographer Meryl Zaytoun Murman and The Cedar Tree Project present “Weather-ing: the secret sound of f” a free outdoor site-specific performance Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday, June 26, 2024 @ 8 pm, hosted by Prairie Island Campground, with support from Theatre du Mississippi. 

“Weather-ing: the secret sound of f” is a ritual between women and water, created by Meryl Murman, featuring Winona-based dance and interdisciplinary artists: Gloria Alicia Alatorre, Mary Lee Eischen, Sharon Mansur, Marcia Ratliff and Zil Ricker. Live music by Tim O’Keefe, with sound design by Robert Stuber. Costumes by Samuel Forney. 

Join us at sunset for laughter, resilience and reflection. This is a free event, but reservations are recommended, see www.cedartreeproject.com

Meryl Zaytoun Murman is a Lebanese American choreographer, filmmaker, and multi-disciplinary artist based in Thessaloniki, Greece. The 2024 McKnight International Choreographer Residency is a month-long event being hosted in Winona and the Twin Cities, in partnership with dance/interdisciplinary artist Sharon Mansur and her creative platform, The Cedar Tree Project, which presents, supports and amplifies contemporary arts and artists of the Arab/SWANA (Southwest Asian and North African) diaspora and region.
