Sugarloaf Theatre is proud to announce auditions for the annual theatre for young audiences play, Tales from the Barnyard. Tales from the Barnyard is an original play written and directed by Sugarloaf Theatre Executive Director, Seamus Schwaba. The story follows larger-than-life farm animals with big personalities as they go on unique adventures around the barnyard. All auditions, rehearsals, and performances will be held at Bluffview Montessori School.
All adults and children over the age of 12 are invited to audition and if cast, participate free of charge. Auditions for the show will be held on January 13 from 6:00-8:00 pm. All auditionees are asked to sign up for a 10-minute-long time slot and prepare a 1-2-minute long monologue to perform at auditions. Rehearsals for the show will be held on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:00 pm. Not every actor will be called to every rehearsal. Public Performances for the show will be held on March 1 at 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm and on March 2 at 2:00 pm. There will also be an additional school time performance on February 28 at 9:00 am. Tickets will be on sale soon so stay tuned!
Whether you are a theatre veteran or have never been on stage in your life, we encourage you to come audition and help bring joy to all the families and children that come to see this fun and goofy show.
