Riding the wave is a metaphor for skillfully adapting to and coping with the ups and downs of life. Facilitated by artist and therapist Sarah Johnson, this interactive program offers mindfulness practice and creativity to allow participants to explore and develop skills for effectively riding the waves in our own lives.

Each workshop is unique and focuses on a current exhibition or artwork at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. Past themes have focused on acceptance, self-compassion, and willingness, among others.
