Winona Arts Center welcomes Betsy Midthun for the Pleasure of Pastel Painting. Pastel is an immensely satisfying medium and is ideal for beginners. Participants will paint two small paintings that will focus on values, shapes, layout, and design, the importance of lights and darks and, of course, color. No experience needed. All materials provided.

Creating and studying art has been a lifelong passion for Betsy Midthun. Graduating from college with a double major of art education and art history, Betsy started her career as an elementary art instructor and has served on local, regional, and state art boards.
