Hi, my name is Seamus Schwaba!

I am a 15-year-old composer, playwright, director, musician, and actor. I live in Winona with my parents and I am currently working on starting a new community theater called SugarLoaf Theater! Winona has always been an artist community but we still lack a true community theater, and what better time to start one than now? Just coming out of a two-year long pandemic, people need hope more than ever!

I have written and directed a few straight plays with my peers. In the summer of 2022 I will be directing my first ever musical! I wrote the whole show myself. It’s called "Deep in the City" and it’s a joyful modernized retelling of a traditional Greek myth. This will be the first show of Winona’s new community theater. At the performances there will be a community vote to decide the logo of our brand new community theater.

I also dabble in visual art from time to time. I’ve taught oil pastel classes for teens, adults, and kids. I have also taught music theory classes for ages 12+. I love sharing the beauty of the arts with others. It brings me a lot of joy to see people of all ages discover their passion for the arts. It’s never too late to do something you love.

Winona is a wonderful community!! I will do whatever I can to provide accessible arts and a strong artistic foundation for the community so that what I create grows to outlive me! I hope you have a fantastic rest of your day!!! 😀
