Fifth Annual Winona Symphony Benefit at Elmaro Vineyard: Violins and Vines
Join members and friends of the Winona Symphony Orchestra on August 23rd from 1-4 pm to experience amazing music against the idyllic backdrop of Elmaro Vineyard in Trempealeau.
Every year in late August symphony musicians and friends come together to present beautiful chamber music in the performance tent. This year’s event features performances by the Driftless Trio (cello and two violins) playing classical favorites, board member Aaron Ruppert performing Bob Dylan songs (voice and guitar), local ensemble Flutistry performing a Celtic music suite and light classics, vocalist and board member Valeria Kishkunas with pianist Meredith Mihm performing opera arias, and jazz standards performed by bassist Troy Birdsong and saxophonist (and former board member) Aaron Lohmeyer. Something for everyone!
Whether you come for the music, the wine, the company, or the view, you are sure to experience an afternoon of great music while you support your local symphony. Director Dr. Erik Rohde will be there to present plans for the upcoming season and visit with attendees. Your $40 entrance fee allows you to relax with a complimentary glass of wine (or other beverage including craft beer and non-alcoholic selections) and personal cheese board while you enjoy diverse performances by the region’s favorite musicians and learn how you can support the symphony.
