Creative Winona Commission Seeks Input on New Name for Masonic Temple

Deadline for Submissions June 29

The Creative Winona Commission, its Masonic Subcommittee and the Great River Shakespeare Festival (GRSF) have determined that the Masonic Temple facility should be renamed to better reflect its new purpose as a community arts, culture, and recreation center.

The Creative Commission would like public input on this process and are seeking name nominations. If you would like to submit a name for consideration, you may do so by completing the online form found on the City of Winona website, or by stopping into the City of Winona Park and Recreation office. The deadline for submissions is June 29.

Upon expiration of the submission deadline, the city will convene a naming committee consisting of the citizen members of the Masonic Subcommittee, city staff, and representatives of the Great River Shakespeare Festival to select a name among those submitted.
