A special celebration of Juneteenth will take place this Wednesday, June 19th, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Windom Park. This marks the 4th annual Juneteenth event organized and hosted by Our Voices in partnership with Theatre du Mississippi with support from ROAR. This event brings the community together to learn about Black and Brown heritage, history, and community; it is a community gathering and educational event with vendors, live music, games, and food. Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. Learn more.
