Patrick Cabello Hansel will be the featured writer for the Laureates Writers Series program for Tuesday, July 2. As an artist Hansel has worked in photography, drama, mosaic, and creative writing. For many years he also worked as Lutheran pastor and artist at inner city churches in the Bronx and Philadelphia. He currently lives close to the George Floyd murder scene, and uses his passion for the arts for personal and community transformation.

Writer Thomas R. Smith says this about Hansel: “Living near the epicenter of the tumultuous events of 2020…he turns out to be the perfect chronicler of that year.
