Shipwreckt Books accepts unsolicited book length manuscripts year-round unless otherwise indicated on the submissions page of www.shipwrecktbooks.press. Clean copy, short bio, brief synopsis, and a well-crafted query letter indicating WHY you are the best person to write the manuscript you are submitting.

Please follow our guidelines for submissions and inquiries about individual project development and publishing workshops.

We welcome submissions to Folk Opera magazine as well. If the forthcoming issue has a theme, try to contribute accordingly. Please include short bio with manuscript – short fiction (1000-6000 words); one-act and other short plays or scenes (1000-6000 words); essays and opinion (500-300 words); poetry (no more than 10 poems or 10 pages). Pays with one comp copy.

Folk Opera acquires First North American Serial Rights upon acceptance and retain exclusive rights to your submission for six months following publication. Your piece will be archived and may be included in online and/or future retrospective editions. If you republish your work, please attribute first publication to Lost Lake Folk Opera magazine.
