Leah Diggins is a self-taught artist who grew up in Austin, MN. She has been living in Winona, MN since December 2023.
Mainly working in mixed media, she is interested and inspired by many mediums. Current interests include abstract and minimalist designs with a limited color palette. She is also interested in the use of upcycled and discarded textiles and is experimenting with their use visually as well as thematically in reaction to the waste created by the fast fashion industry.
Other artistic interests/inspirations include: Found objects/assemblage, Polaroid photography and transfers, encaustic/wax, installation and performance art, street/public art, land/environmental art, wheatpasting, and printmaking.
Leah loves the prospect of art being presented in new and innovative ways, and is open to meeting and collaborating with other artists in the area.
