Watershed: River Arts Alliance Juried Exhibition

Update 11/16/24: Saturday, November 16 and Sunday, November 17 are the final days to view the Watershed exhibition in person! The gallery is open 10 am to 4 pm each day.

Sunday, November 17 at 5 pm is the deadline to vote for your favorite piece for the People's Choice award, via the web gallery hosted at ArtCall.org, online here. The People's Choice award winner will be announced online on Monday, November 18. The web gallery will remain visible until May 2025.

Watershed, a new, juried visual art exhibition sponsored by River Arts Alliance (RAA), opened on Friday, August 23 and runs through Sunday, November 17 at the Winona County History Center’s Slaggie Family Lobby Art Gallery.

Watershed was open to entries of two-dimensional and three-dimensional art by artists living within 150 miles of Winona, Minnesota. From 265 eligible entries, 26 works by Minnesota and Wisconsin artists have been selected for the exhibition by the juror, Nicole Soukup, Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Ms. Soukup is the Coordinator of the Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program in the Department of Global Contemporary Art at Mia. Throughout her curatorial practice, she seeks to bridge local communities with global perspectives.

An online gallery with images of all the featured works is also available for viewing at watershedraa2024.artcall.org. Members of the public have the opportunity to vote for a People’s Choice award winner by visiting this website.

From August 23 through November 17, the Watershed exhibition can be seen daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (except holidays) at the Winona County History Center, 160 Johnson St., Winona.
