Call to Artists, Bakers and Chefs

The River Arts Alliance will be holding its Annual Pi(e) Day fundraiser event on 3.14.2026 at the ARC in Winona. To make this event work we need pie and soup. If you are interested in donating either, please contact the River Arts Alliance at editor@riverartsalliance.org. We are also looking for pie related artwork that we can auction off at the event. Our original idea was to have a few decorative pie plates and soup bowls available for the auction, but any pie related artwork will do. Funds raised during the event will be used by the Alliance to support its mission of connecting local artists with the community. If you are interested in providing an item for the auction, please contact any of the board members for a pickup or bring it to the event.

Champions of the Arts

In 2023, in celebration of 15 years of work since our organization’s beginnings, River Arts Alliance decided to honor people, past and present, who have made a significant impact on the arts and culture in the Winona area. Five individuals who were instrumental to the foundation and ongoing work of RAA were recognized as “Champions of the Arts” last year: Heidi Bryant, Julia Crozier, Vicki Englich, Greg Peterson and the late Bernadette Mahfood.

The Champions of the Arts in 2024 were: Eric Heukeshoven, Janet Heukeshoven, Margaret Shaw Johnson, Mary Singer, Colleen Wolner, and Larry Wolner.

Our honorees for 2025 will be recognized at our Annual Pi(e) Day Event on March 14, 2026. Congratulations to: Frank Bures, Ruth Bures, Mary Farrell, Sharon Mansur, and the late Dave Gudmastad. Thank you for all that you have contributed to our arts community!
