In the world of historically authentic and interesting performances of Baroque music, Belgian musician Sigiswald Kuijken stands out as a pioneer and advocate. And he is coming to Winona.
Enjoy an extraordinary evening of Baroque masterpieces — the music of Bach, Corelli, and Vivaldi — performed by guest violinist Sigiswald Kuijken and the Bach Society of Minnesota.
Considered a musical giant, an early-music pioneer, innovative musician and musical philosopher, Kuijken has made historic contributions to the art of string-instrument playing, such as the technique of playing the violin "chin off" and the rediscovery of the viola da spalla. Come be part of history as this instrument and this musical giant make a rare Minnesota appearance.
