Jazz Jam and Jazz Final at Island City Brewing

Sunday | December 15 | 2:30-5:30pm
Island City Brewing Company

H3O Jazz Trio will combine forces with Jazz at Saint Mary’s twice-yearly Jazz Final at the December Jazz Jam. Saint Mary’s two jazz combos and the entire big band will kick off the first hour with a recap their favorite selections from the fall semester. The rest of the afternoon will welcome everyone to jam with the H3O Jazz Trio.

Now in its second year, the Island City Jazz Jam has welcomed talented performers ages 8 to 91 from Iowa, Wisconsin, various Minnesota cities, and even Arizona! Whether you play an instrument or sing, the Jazz Jam is a chance for everyone to sit in with a professional rhythm section. All are welcome and encouraged to perform some of their favorite jazz standards in this family-friendly open mic setting.

Interested jammers can choose from a wide selection of jazz tunes. Players can pick music from Hal Leonard Real Books, bring their own, or ask the trio to play their favorites! Simply sign up on the clipboard and get ready to have some fun!

An up-to-date schedule is always available at The event is free and open to everyone – young and not so young. And if you’re not quite ready to sit in, come and enjoy a great evening of jazz. Please contact Emily Johnson: for more information.
