“Set Against a Sky” In Motion

Dance artist Sharon Mansur will perform a series of spontaneous movement responses to visual artist Matthew Winkler’s paper cut installation “Set Against a Sky” at the Winona Arts Center on Thursday, July 7 @ 7pm.

Sharon loves dancing and improvising—creating experiences where active viewing and imagination are welcome. Working and playing with others, experimenting, and finding ways to support and build the creative ecology within a community. Her dance projects have been presented in theaters, galleries, parks, parking lots, street corners, gardens, cafes, apartments, train stations, empty storefronts, rivers and other intriguing venues throughout the U.S. and abroad. In 2015 her dance film “variation on residue” received the Best Performance Award at the Mirror Mountain Film Festival in Ottawa, Canada. www.mansurdance.com
