Thank You!

The 11th annual Family Art Day was an exciting event again this year! Despite threatening storms early on, hundreds of community members came to explore the visual arts, African drumming, and creative movement! River Arts Alliance thanks the following artists for their contributions:

Brianna Haupt, Catherine Cleary, Dirk Nelson, Robert Armstrong (Dr. Bob), Julie Johnston, Jennifer Weaver, Jill Krase, Jill Marie Pigott, John Durfey, Julia Crozier, Kathie Peterson, Lance Ngari, Linda Sue Eastman, Dan Eastman, May Denzer, Mary Singer, Michelle Cochran, Mickey Maslowski, Pang Vang, Patty Albrecht, Sarah Johnson, Tanya Corcoran, Teresa Schumaker, Tom Dukich, Anne Scott Plummer, and Sydney Swanson.

Of course, an event like this needs a village to be successful, and River Arts Alliance is grateful to the following volunteers whose assistance was invaluable:

Jamie Schwaba, Marcia Ratliff, Sarah Bontrager, Barb and Michael Hassing, Carol Slade, Sara Enzenauer, Olivia VanDenBerge, Michelle Truxal, Kelly Ries, Kieran McDonnell, Carly Boisen, Cherie Weaver, Sonja Romine, Emily Johnson, Karrie Sandvig, Margaret Kiihne, Ted Haaland, Catherine Tuggle, Greg Peterson, Julie, Cooper, Anna McCormick, Abu Bakaar, and Lydia Boysen.

Thank you Anna VanDeMark for being our roving photographer!

Thanks to Seho Park and Allessandra Sulpy for recruiting WSU art student volunteers, the WSU Department of Art and Design for the use of their pottery wheels, and to Project FINE for their help in making this event more inclusive to all Winona area community members.

Heather Casper, Curator of Education at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum, coordinated Family Art Day this year, and she brought ingenuity, hard work, and good cheer to the event! River Arts Alliance is grateful for her immeasurable talent and contributions!

RAA thanks the City of Winona, Park and Recreation Department for their continued partnership and support.

This event was made possible through an Arts and Culture grant from the Southeast Minnesota Arts Council and contributions from WNB Financial and Merchants Bank. Because of their financial support, this event was free and open to all.

Vicki Englich, Chair, RAA Board of Directors

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund.
