Call to Plein Air Artists: Trempealeau Refuge Event

Logo of Friends of Trempealeau Refuge.

The Friends of the Trempealeau Refuge are seeking 10 area artists who would enjoy setting up their easels and sharing their creative works at the Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge for a special event. Artists in the Refuge will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2023.

The Artists in the Refuge Plein Air Event is sponsored by the Friends of Trempealeau Refuge and is made possible through donations from the Michael Owecke Memorial Fund. In the morning, 10 participating artists will be creating en plein air at their choice of two different sites in the Refuge, allowing visitors to be able to engage with artists and see their creative process. We are looking for two-dimensional work in any media suitable for plein air. At 11:30 am, artists and visitors are invited to a luncheon at the OWL Center near the Refuge Contact Station. Participating artists are invited to set up their easels outside of the OWL Center to share their morning’s work.

The deadline to sign up is April 15, 2023. A flyer with more information is available here. The sign-up form is available here.
