The Winona Brass Band will soon start rehearsals on Monday evenings in Winona beginning on September 11th. The ensemble is celebrating its 30th season, and founding director Dr. Janet Heukeshoven returns to the podium for this anniversary season: Thirty Years of Brass. Concerts are scheduled for 3:00 PM on November 5th, December 10th and May 5th; save the dates now!
The fall concert will feature compositions for British Brass Band performed during the first decade of the band, followed by a Holiday-themed performance on December 10th. Both performances will be in St. Cecilia Theater on the Cotter High School campus. The May performance will be held at Central Lutheran Church and will feature works combining brass and organ. A reception to celebrate the 30th anniversary year of the band will be held after the concert.

If you’re a brass player interested in membership, there are a few openings this fall; we would love to hear from you! Please contact the director at jheukesh@smumn.edu or WBB board president, John Helm at john.leitholdmusic@gmail.com for additional details.
